Parking and Load in:
You can park along the venue in the lot or in the gravel by the lot too. If you are playing the Indoor stage, you can load in through the main Entrance, or near the Merch area entrance. (See images below). If you are playing the Outdoor stage, the easiest load in will be from the parking lot past the Merch area.
All members and their crew need to check in and receive wrist bands.
Load in times vary depending on what time your band is performing. We ask that you be here no later than 2 hours before you are scheduled to perform. If you are an opening band, arriving 1 hour prior to doors should suffice. This allows time for unloading and staging gear and a line check. If you require a full sound check (rather than a line check), you must let us know in advance and will need to arrive before doors to do so. A Line check should suffice for almost all circumstances.
Load in for Friday is 4:30pm, but the venue will be open after 10am if you need to arrive early. Load in for Saturday is 10:30am and the venue will be open between 9am-10am.
Set times and change overs:
All bands are given 25 minutes for performance time (headlining bands may request additional time). This is a strict 25 minutes no exceptions. We highly recommend rehearsing your set and timing it to include any breaks between your songs, and aiming to be under 25 minutes. Although there is time allotted in between bands for change overs, this includes loading and unloading gear from the stage, tuning the instruments, setting up gear, line check for sound, and moving gear from staging location, so it does not leave a lot of room.
You will be given a warning if you are close to 25 minutes (1 last song warning). If you continue to perform after 25 minutes or start another song after this warning is given, the venue and promoter reserve the right to cut your sound. We do not want to have to do this, and this is not to make your life difficult, but with 10-20 bands performing, this is out of respect to all those bands performing after you. If every band is playing longer than their scheduled time, this causes every band after that to also be late. We understand there may be technical difficulties and unexpected issues that arise. If these issues take a considerable amount of time, consider cutting a song from your setlist.
Again, this is out of respect for all the bands that are performing after you. If you have any concerns with this policy, please email or DM in advance and we are happy to address concerns and work with you.
Schedule:
NOTE: THIS SCHEDULE IS NOT TO BE SHARED PUBLICLY
It will be shared publicly by CIncinnati Metal Festival no later than the day before the show. The reason is because the schedule is subject due to change and we do not want to have to have any show times change and cause issues for attendees or fans.
We attempted to give everyone their preference for Indoor or Outdoor stage and their preferred set time. If you have an issue with the stage or set time you are assigned, PLEASE LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY so we can attempt to resolve it if possible. Keep in mind that the schedule at this point is not very flexible, unless another band is willing to switch their time with you. We are happy to work that out if it is the case.
You can see the schedule on the images of this page with the map and stage photos. It will also be sent to you via Instagram Group Chat, or email.
Staging and backlining of gear:
We are very much open to any bands that wish to share or backline gear. We will have limited staging area for gear INDOORS so we ask that you only stage gear indoors if your band is performing next on the Indoor stage. For outdoors, there is plenty of room to stage gear in the parking area and to the sides of the outdoor stage. Again, we ask you only stage gear near the stage if your band is playing next at that stage. This will ensure every band has a quick change over. If you need assistance with staging, load in, change overs, please let us know. The stages are ground level, no steps or stairs, but they are not elevated stages. If you have risers or any stage equipment, please make us aware of this via email or DM prior to the show. See the images on this page for an idea of the stage and layouts.
Sound:
PA system and monitors are provided and there will be sound engineers for both stages. Specifications are below. If you have any specific requests, stage plots, bringing your own sound equipment, or have in ears or complex audio requirements, you must let us know in advance so we can accommodate. You can email or DM at the info above. There will be limited time for change overs and line checks, so as long as we know beforehand we can prepare for that.
Specifications: “new speakers: two tops, two subs, 2 monitors in front, one by the drummer. We have a 16 channel board. Usually mic the kick, snare and guitars. We can go DI but at the moment have no DI boxes, if bands are going direct off pedals a DI box isn't needed. If you need a DI Box, please bring one. We have 2 58s and a couple cheaper mics that can be used for vocals. We should have enough cables and have some extra instrument cables. If any bands have in ears we can set that up on an Aux.”
Rain or shine info:
We have plans in place to move the outdoor stage indoors if rain is in the forecast. We will also have tarps for the merch area and equipment as well. You are welcome to bring your own tarps as well.
Merch:
Merch will be along the patio outdoors. We will provide as many merch tables as possible. With there being 10-20 bands on either day, there will be limited space for merch. We ask that if you have a large merch display, or want your own table, to please bring your own. Otherwise, we will make sure that bands can divide table space so that everyone is able to display their merch. If you arrive and have any issues with displaying your merch at a table, please let us know immediately. We want to make sure all bands are able to sell their merch at this show.
Other:
If you notice any spelling issues, logo issues, schedule issues on the flyer, social media, webpages, etc, please let us know via DM or email.
